Gratefulness for the Ungrateful

Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate this holiday!

I appreciate you reading Outsidethewell or my other website, jswpark.com. You are giving time, your most valuable resource, and it means so much to me. Thank you.

Since today is Thanksgiving, this week’s article is about gratefulness, but not to rave about the benefits. It’s more a guide on why it can be difficult and how to be genuinely grateful when you feel far from it. My method does not start with positivity. It begins by going on the offense.

Rule of Thumbs

Last week, we dug into the importance of building our systems for growth. While writing that piece, I realized there were another set of rules that governed my individual actions. I know, you are sick of rules and systems now, but hang on!

These were more like lanes on a road, that gave guidance to take action faster, keeping focus, and conserve energy from decision fatigue and task switching.

I call them the Rule of Thumbs.
